The Wizard of Speed and Time

Updated: Apr 14, 2019

The Film Society showed The Wizard of Speed and Time, a PG-rated low-budget film from 1989. It stars Mike Jittlov, Paige Moore, and Richard Kaye.

Mike Jittlov, a special effects person, is given a major film assignment. However, director Lucky Straeker and producer Harvey Bookman make a bet over whether or not Jittlov is able to finish it. Bookman is doing everything he can to make sure Jittlov fails. Jittlov gets help from some friends to complete it. Will he succeed or will he fail?

One bad thing about this movie is that the performances are awful and it felt like the actors weren’t even trying. Another bad thing about this movie is that the dialogue is so poorly written that it’s not believable.

The movie is very awful and poorly made. For people who enjoy movies that are so bad they are good, this movie is for you. I would recommend it to people who just want to be entertained and aren’t concerned with good acting and writing.

For being so bad it’s good, I give it a 1/10.
