This week, I saw Star Wars: The Last Jedi in theaters. It was first released on December 15, 2017, it’s rated PG-13, and stars Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher. It takes place in Outer Space a long time ago. This is the 8th Star Wars movie.
In this film, Rey goes to train with Luke Skywalker. She starts to have communications with Kylo Ren and feels that maybe there’s more to him than she originally thought. Meanwhile, Finn, BB-8, and a mechanic named Rose secretly go on a mission to shut down a tracking device the First Order is using. The X-wing fighter pilot Poe Dameron is working against the newly appointed Vice Admiral Holdo.
The film expertly weaves several story lines together. With so much happening, it leaves you on the edge of your seat. The film also has many twists I didn’t see coming and cool action scenes. It was bittersweet to see Carrie Fisher in her final film role before her death and I greatly enjoyed her performance as her iconic character, Leia Organa.
This film isn’t like any Star Wars film I’ve seen before. It’s unique and one of my favorites.
I recommend this film to anyone who’s a Star Wars fan, as well as those who like action films or science fiction films.
Because this film is so good at delivering great action, twists, and suspense I give it an 8/10.
